Jeff Moody took the Buck of his and many others dreams on Oct. 28, 2003! He had been hunting this "Ripper" buck for two years!

Jeff almost did not go hunting that afternoon as the wind was blowing so hard. Luckily, Jeff decided to go and it turned out to be an afternoon Jeff will never forget - an afternoon that he rewrote the Nebraska Whitetail record books!
Jeff settled into his stand as the wind subsided and several "does" walked by his stand. Right at the last shooting light he heard another deer coming and he prepared for a shot as he figured it was a buck and what a buck it turned out to be. The buck walked directly under his stand and he had to wait for the buck to walk out from under the stand and he was slightly quartering away. He came to full draw and pinned the buck and the arrow was gone! The hit looked good as the buck piled up not seventy-five yards away. He said he could not believe his eyes as he walked up on the buck. He finally got him!

The buck scores 224 3/8 P & Y. It is the largest buck taken in Nebraska in forty-two years. It is the #2 non-typical whitetail, second only to old Mossy Horns which was arrowed by Del Austin in 1962 and is the current #2 in the world.
Great Job Jeff, Congrats!!!
